Ercopac and Servotecnica Partner to Enhance High-Speed Wrapping Systems

Servotecnica, a global specialist in motion control technology, has announced the delivery of customised slip ring solutions to Ercopac, supporting high-performance end-of-line automation systems for palletising and wrapping applications.

Servotecnica developed two application-specific slip rings for the Spider wrapping machine, one supporting the rotating table and one the pallet stabilising device. Each unit was engineered to precise specifications, including defined power and signal channels, specific current ratings, and strict size constraints on both bore diameter and width.

The Spider-R, Ercopac’s flagship model, is capable of reaching 200 half-pallets per hour, placing exceptional demands on data transmission. Even a brief signal interruption can trigger micro-stoppages that cascade along the entire production line, meaning uninterrupted high-speed Ethernet transmission during continuous rotation was not a nice-to-have but a hard requirement, and precisely the capability Servotecnica’s slip rings delivered.
