The DMC-500×0 and DMC-52xx0 EtherCAT controllers are the latest additions to Galil.
They are designed to provide maximum performance and flexibility for your applications. The DMC-500×0 series is Galil’s most advanced multi-axis EtherCAT master; axes 1 – 4 can be configured as integrated or external EtherCAT drives, while axes 5 – 8 can only be configured as external EtherCAT drives. Unique in the motion control, this ability to combine local and EtherCAT drives on the same controller offers extreme flexibility for any application.
The DMC-52xx0 is Galil Motion Control’s first 32-axis Ethercat master. It can control up to 32 external drives and 2 IO modules while maintaining Galil’s intuitive two-letter programming language.
It is available in 2-, 4-, 8-, 16-, and 32-axis formats and operates in Cyclic Synchronous Position (CSP) mode. In this mode, the control loop is closed
on the EtherCAT drive while the Galil sends motion profile data at 1 kHz. The DMC-52xx0 has eight optoisolated inputs and eight optoisolated high-power outputs. It also includes eight analog inputs and eight analog outputs. There is a 100 Mbps Ethernet and USB port
(serial) for communication with a host PC or external devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
